York and Scuppernong Studios

Delivered a painting Karen did for the University of Chapel Hill Hospital. The new Cancer Center has been completed and staffed. Dr. Tepper’s painting was commissioned in recognition of his dedication and service to the Cancer Center by the University Health System. I’m very proud of her, she has such a wonderful artistic talent and creates such beautiful work.

We continue to make improvements, both inside the studio as well as outside.  Our latest is the installation of the new lighting rail system.  I have waited a long time for a system like this and I look forward to its ease of use and it’s added safety in the camera room.  The professional lighting system makes it possible to move lights from one end of the MAIN camera room to the other so we can cover all of the shooting areas available.  Now cords and stands are no longer on the floor.

What a gorgeous wedding we photographed last Saturday, June 5th.  Heather and Brandon picked an awesome day to get married on the shore’s of Hyco Lake.

The wedding was held at Heather’s parents (Charles and Donna Jones) lake home.  The view was just breathtaking.  The weather was great, the water was calm, the sky was blue, and a slight breeze whisped as guest lined the shore, listening to soft music, til the timing of the hour.  The Groom arrived by boat to the floating dock to see his Bride walk down the pathway with her dad.  What a relaxing place to have this special ceremony where Heather and Brandon began their life together.

The reception was a blast….held under a tent with beautifully decorated tables of fresh flowers.  The dinner was catered by Johnny Bakatsias.  Heather, Brandon and all the Guest danced into the evening as Hip Pocket preformed with awesome music.  Everyone had a wonderful time.  Thank you for letting us come and share your special day.
